Plastic Upcycled Into Art

In an attempt to reduce, recycle and reuse, many artists are finding creative ways of upcycling - or converting waste materials or useless products into new materials or products of better quality or a higher environmental value.

Here are some amazing reuses of plastic bottles made into art:

1. Designer Michelle Brand cuts, sands and tags together the bases of plastic drink bottles to create amazing, innovative lighting, window panels, room dividers, chandeliers and cascading art.

2. Artist Miwa Koizumi uses used PET water bottles to create jelly fish and other underwater creatures.

3. This transparent water bottle room screen was created and installed in the Danone factory offices - the company that manufactures Evian and Volvic water.
